I decided to work in a Cruise because I was locking for a new experience, I wanted to improve my English level, to visit other countries and if it was earning more money ... much better, of course. I had an advantage: I didn't have any compromise in Chile, so I just had to try.
The life on board is difficult, but in any case it is not a door impossible to open, especially if you have a clear goal. That's the key to endure the shifts, to live together other crew with other customs, the bad humor of the passengers, the cabin technical problems; but you have good things too like to go to free excursions, to buy exotics things and to do beautiful friendship.
I recommend it only for those people that are: responsible, with sense humor and patience, ordinate and with English knowledge it would be better Portuguese too.
